2024 - 2025

Ian Bohachek - President

I’m a senior undergraduate student from Cross Plains, WI studying Cartography/GIS, People-Environment Geography, and Environmental Studies with certificates in Integrative Design of Built and Natural Environments and German. I have been a part of the club throughout my entire time at UW, and I really enjoy the variety of different professional, academic, and social activities and events that we hold during the year – there’s really something for everyone! I especially enjoy when we carve pumpkins at our Halloween meeting.

Kendall Johnson - Vice President

I’m a senior undergraduate student from Ellendale, MN studying Cartography & GIS and People-Environment Geography with a certificate in Public Policy. My favorite part about Geography Club is all the wonderful opportunities - whether it’s to attend a conference or meet others in the department! This year I’m especially excited for AAG in Detroit this spring!

Owen Edminster - Treasurer

I am a senior undergraduate student from Fairfield, CT studying Cartography & GIS and People-Environment Geography. My favorite aspect of the club is the intersectionality between peers, professors, and the community at large. As a transfer student, getting involved in the club has allowed me to meet a lot of people and make connections in the field that I am passionate about. I especially enjoyed going to last year’s National Planning Conference in Minneapolis, and am looking forward to all of our social activities this semester!

Lauren Wunderlich - Communications

I am a junior undergraduate student from Wauwatosa, WI studying Cart/GIS, Human Geography, and Environmental Studies with a certificate in Integrative Design of Natural and Built Environments. Since joining last year, my favorite part about Geography Club has been getting to connect with peers who have similar interests to me and talk through our career goals and ambitions. Outside of the Geography Club, I am also involved in other campus organizations such as Humorology and the All University String Orchestra. This year, I look forward to connecting more students on campus with the Geography Club!

Will McAllister - Event Coordinator

I’m a junior undergraduate from Columbia, Missouri studying Cartography/GIS and People-Environment Geography with a certificate in Environmental Studies. I've been in the club for several years now and have really enjoyed my time so far! My favorite parts are the community, quizzes, and professional opportunities including guest speakers. Come talk to me about Cartography and what you want to see in the club!
